No one transported in July 19 accident

Sheriff Wm. C. Brueggemann advised that on Saturday July 19, 2008, at 12:20 p.m. Deputies along with Plattsmouth Fire and Rescue responded to two-vehicle accident in the area of Highway 75 and the weigh scales.

 A green 1998 Chevrolet Malibu driven by Clarita Phillips, age 58, from Plattsmouth was traveling northbound on Highway 75 and slowed for traffic turning into the Country Bar & Grill, when its was struck from behind by a black 1996 Chevrolet Monte Carlo, driven by Samantha Pitnick, age 22, also from Plattsmouth.

Both Pitnick and Phillips were checked for injuries by the Plattsmouth Rescue Squad, neither was transported. Pitnick’s son, Dominic Pitnick, age 10 months, was also a passenger in the vehicle and was not injured as infant / child restraints were in use. Both Pitnick and Phillips were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the accident.
