On Monday, July 21, 2008, at approximately 1:30 p.m., the Nebraska State Patrol helicopter and a PSD team provided assistance to the Lincoln Police Department (LPD) and the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office (LSO) in the search for burglary suspects. The suspects had fled into a cornfield near 112th & Holdrege Streets in Lincoln. While the K9 units assisted on the ground, the helicopter was able to help flush out one of the suspects who was taken into custody by waiting LSO units.
During the early morning hours of Tuesday, July 22, 2008, a Nebraska State Patrol Police Service Dog team was called out to assist the Grand Island Police Department in tracking a suspect who fled on foot from an area near South Locus Street & Stolley Park Road.
