Vivian Fern Tunnell, 95, of Louisville, formerly of Plattsmouth, died Sunday, July 13, 2008, at Louisville Care Center.
She was born Feb. 24, 1913, in Plattsmouth to Alexander Floy and Agnes (Ward) Moore
On Nov. 14, 1942, she married Clifford Tunnell in Omaha.
Vivian was raised and schooled in Plattsmouth, graduating from Plattsmouth High School with the Class of 1931. She studied post-graduate at PHS for one year then attended Boyles Business College for two years. She worked at Mutual of Omaha from June 25, 1934, until she retired Dec. 27, 1976. Vivian was a lifelong Plattsmouth resident until she moved to Louisville Care Center due to her health. She was a member of Mutual of Omaha Retired Employees Club, Club 25 of Mutual of Omaha, Cass County Historical Society and First United Methodist Church of Plattsmouth.
Survivors include her half brother Jerry and wife Janice Moore of Omaha and stepbrother, Bob and wife Janet Moore of Plattsmouth.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and twin brother, Raymond Floy Moore.
Funeral service: 10 a.m. Thursday, July 17, at Roby Funeral Home Chapel, Plattsmouth, with Pastor Michael McGregor officiating and Terry Little providing vocal music.
Pallbearers: Don Burrow, Bob Moore, Jerry Moore, Michael Moore, Charles Weight and Matthew Wiysel. Honorary pallbearers: Donald Baker, Richard Fischer, John Glushenko and Richard Schmitz.
Visitation: 1-8 p.m. Wednesday, July 16, at Roby Funeral Home Chapel with family present from 6-8 p.m.
Final resting place: Oak Hill Cemetery, Plattsmouth.
